About Me

Charlottenburg Palace - Berlin, GermanyWelcome to my website!  I am a graduate of the doctoral program  at Florida State University.  Prior to earning my degree, I visited several countries in Europe.  Here I am at the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin, Germany during the World Cup.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree (Computer Information Systems) from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut.  After graduating from Quinnipiac with my Bachelor’s, I was employed by the Shelton Public School System (SPSS). While at SPSS, I managed several projects related to the IT infrastructure of the school system as well as interacted with state departments to ensure local school board compliance with state education regulations.

I designed and implemented the conversion of SPSS’s district-wide exchange email system, transportation information system, student information system, and wireless infrastructure.  In addition, I assisted the City of Shelton’s Wide Area Network planning committee and provided service and support to the various schools within the district.  I left SPSS to pursue my Master of Science degree Petey & Tiffany(Information Systems Technology – Management Information Systems) at The George Washington University in Washington D.C. and graduated in the Spring of 2006 before entering the PhD program at Florida State.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new media, reading, listening to an eclectic taste of music, fishing, skiing, and learning about new cultures.  When visiting family, an added bonus for me is  playing with my dogs (on cushion facing camera is Tiffany and on armrest looking out window is Pete).
